Rhonda Eigenberg, York State Bank | York, recently celebrated her fifth anniversary with the bank. She is the head teller at the plaza location in York. The funds will help provide access to quality athletic training, mentorship, and a safe space for youth to pursue their athletic dreams. Core Bank | Omaha, hosted a Core Bank Cares golf tournament on July 17 as a fundraiser for Humble & Kind, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting Omaha community individuals in dire need and offering swift assistance to those who cannot afford to spend time on waitlists. The event raised $10,000, which the bank presented to Humble and Kind on July 26. (pictured) First National Bank of Omaha | Scottsbluff, had the winning team at the Regional West Foundation Golf Scramble held last month in Scottsbluff. All proceeds from the event will go toward a new Varian Edge™ linear accelerator for The Cancer Treatment Center at Regional West. Additionally, Riverstone Bank | Scottsbluff, helped sponsor the event. Midwest Bank | Deshler, has pledged $50,000 as part of a matching challenge grant donation for Spring Creek Kids, Inc. Childcare Center. The Center is a local nonprofit that hopes to open a renovated location in May 2024 for children from infant to preschool age, with a future goal of providing after-school programs for older children. The class will spend the next 10 months focusing on community trusteeship and awareness, as well as leadership styles. Nebraska Bank | Alliance, sponsored a Free Swim on July 22 during Alliance's Heritage Days celebration. RVR Bank | Arlington, was the presenting sponsor for the "Hats Off to Literacy" fundraiser for the Fremont Area United Way on July 25. Security First Bank and Western Nebraska Bank | Thedford, and other local businesses sponsored the Thedford Art Guild's Open Show for area artists. The show is the fundraiser for the Thedford Art Gallery. Waypoint Bank | Cozad, hosted Maker Monday at the bank every Monday throughout July. Area kids apply to sell handmade items during the event and sign a contract with the bank outlining the expectations. Participants also calculate their net income for a chance to win a prize. He was a longtime banker, most recently as the Chairman of the Board at Cedar Rapids State Bank. (pictured) Jerry Toman (age 86) | North Platte, passed away on July 14. He had previously worked at Adams Bank & Trust in Indianola. Thomas Wolf (age 78) | North Bend, passed away on July 15. He was a third-generation banker and spent over 60 years in the banking industry. He served as CEO of Platte Valley Bank from 1974-2016 and was NBA Chair from 2004-2005.
